Departure of the Olympic Rings
I short video I made on the day after the Olympic 2012 closing ceremony. I spotted the tug Stephen B as she pushed the barge containing the Olympic rings towards the Thames Barrier.
The Steven B was built in Netherlands in 1971 and was originally called the Bever. It has operated in Netherlands and France before commencing service on the Thames and Medway in 2001. The Steven B is owned by Bennett's Barges and has the distinction of having pushed the Belfry Barge in the 2012 Jubilee River Pageant. http://www.shipspotting.com/gallery/photo.php?lid=416027 http://riverthames.org.uk/
